Haas VM2 Moldmaker CNC Added.

We have just added a Haas VM2 CNC machining center.  This machine includes a 4th axis rotary head and glass scales. The addition of this machine increases our capacity for machining prototype parts and building injection molds.

WHAT DESIGN PROGRAM DO YOU PREFER . WHAT MACHINE PROGRAM DO YOU PREFER ON THIS MACHINE. WHAT PERCENTAGE OF JOBS ARE YOU USING THE FOURTH AXIS THANKS

@Mike - Dynacept utilizes Delcam Powershape, Powermill and Cimatron for designs and programming. Less than five percent of our current work requires the use of the fourth axis.

Do you see a noticable and not acceptable difference with/without linear glass scales when you’re running mold inserts with quite long cutting times of 3D surfaces ?
The option is quite expencive and not possible to field install, it must be right from the beginning when buying a machine. I’ve my doubts that the machine after a few hours finish cutting are out of position so much that a parting plane conture between two inserts are different more then acceptable ?
